2. General information
Protecting your personal data is important to me. I process your data exclusively on the basis of the applicable legal provisions (GDPR / EU-DSGVO, German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG)). In this policy, I inform you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of personal data on this website.
3. Server log files when visiting the website
When you visit this website, my hosting provider automatically collects information that your browser transmits ("server log files"): IP address, date and time of the request, time zone difference, content of the request (specific page), access status, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser used and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a technically error-free presentation and security). This data is deleted after a maximum of 30 days.
4. Hosting by Ionos
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Ionos processes data on my behalf to provide this website. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Ionos. More information: Ionos privacy policy.
5. Contact form and getting in touch
If you contact me via the contact form or by email, I process the data you provide (name, email address, topic, message) exclusively to handle your inquiry and any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing inquiries). I delete your data once your inquiry has been fully processed and no statutory retention obligations apply – at the latest after two years without further exchange.
Technical delivery of the contact form: To deliver form messages, I use the service Web3Forms (provider: Web3Forms, with server location in Germany/EU). Web3Forms receives the form data, processes it exclusively to forward it to me as an email, and does not store any copies beyond that. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Web3Forms. More information: Web3Forms privacy policy.
6. Web analytics with Umami
To analyze the use of this website, I use Umami Analytics (provider: Umami Software, Inc., with server location in the European Union). Umami collects usage data in anonymized and aggregated form: pages visited, referrer (the website you came from), device type, browser, operating system, and approximate country of origin based on the truncated IP address.
No cookies are set and no personal data is stored. The IP address is used only briefly to calculate an anonymous daily hash and is not stored afterward. Individual visitors are not re-identified across sessions.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of usage behavior to optimize the offering). More information: Umami privacy policy.
7. Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics, marketing or tracking purposes. Only technically necessary cookies may be used as part of the website's basic functionality (e.g., to store your cookie settings, if any exist). These do not require consent under § 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG.
8. Fonts
For consistent font display, this website uses the Inter and Inter Tight font families. These are hosted locally on this website's server. When a page is loaded, the font files are loaded directly from this server; no connection is made to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts). No personal data is transmitted to third parties.
9. External links (LinkedIn)
This website contains links to my LinkedIn profile. Data is only transmitted to LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company once you click on such a link. More information: LinkedIn privacy policy.
